Community Based Learning

The SLC is a place where students are mentored and prepared for involvement in community-based projects. It is also a place where individuals, locally and internationally, are invited to participate in workshops and shortcourses that focus on sustainable food systems.  SLC programs develop long-term relationships with community organizations that host students and engage them in community projects. The comprehensive experience students gain from their involvement at the SLC prepares them for full engagement in their work with communities.
